Our Level 2 survey was comprehensive and contained excellent advice. It was easy to follow and gave us a thorough overview of the property we intend to buy. All communication was effortless and timely. I would definitely recommend Ian to my family or friends in future.

John here. The first phone call with Ian he will tell you it’s a service not just to survey your potential purchase but a service to protect you and your investment. This is all true, my purchase has not proceeded and I am still leaving a 5 star review. The detailed work Ian did, along with the personal calls and communications is truly an example of best in class surveyor. A full day inspecting the 266 year old house we wanted and he left none of it untouched, giving us the facts. A call to say the house is not what it seems for many reason and to advise against the deal, saving the investment and lifelong headache. S and B will be the only surveyors I ever use and when we find the next house that ticks the boxes we will be using S and B. 5* and more.

I recently used Sladden and Barton Residential Surveyors for a Help to Buy equity loan redemption valuation on my property in Brackley. From start to finish the service was excellent. Ian provided a very thorough inspection and delivered the full RICS valuation report on the same day as the visit. The report was detailed, well-reasoned, and exactly what I needed for Homes England. What really stood out was the fair and affordable price combined with fast turnaround and professional service. This helped keep my overall remortgage process moving smoothly without any delays. I would highly recommend Sladden and Barton to anyone needing a Help to Buy valuation or any other residential survey in the Northamptonshire / Brackley area. Great local company that delivers real value.

Ian provided me with an extremely in depth survey including using drone photography, highlighting the many issues with a Victorian property I was going to buy. I was aware of some of the issues already but am so glad I had the survey done by Ian as he uncovered so many more including indications of structural failings. He was very patient and thorough, and took the time to explain everything on the phone as well as in the report, and it needed a lot more work than I had budgeted for. His experience in older houses is clear to see, including the need for maintenance, wall and chimney breathability and ventilation and the right plaster being used. He saved me from making a very costly mistake and having to live in a building site had I been able to even afford all the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services.

Had a survey done for a lease extension earlier this year. Ian was very helpful and informative. Recently had a query that I wasn’t sure whether it was their area and if they could help me with it. Although it wasn’t Ian was able to give me the advice I needed over the telephone. What fantastic customer services ce. Cannot fault at all. Thank you. Really appreciated your help.

Sladden and Barton Surveyors provided me with an excellent and comprehensive report about the property I was intending to purchase in Brackley. This was an older property with a range of issues that would need to be resolved. I was given professional advice on what needed to be done after highlighting everything that was wrong with the property. I would highly recommend Sladden and Barton to anyone thinking of buying a property in Towcester and surrounding area.

Ian was excellent. Arrived on time, did a thorough survey, explained everything and answered all my questions. The EPC report itself was very useful. As well as qualifying me for heat pump grant it explained clearly what other steps I could take to improve energy efficiency. Very happy to recommend.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Ian and Karen are such friendly and helpful people. Ian completely put our minds at ease following our first offer being accepted on our house (an old property) We had a Level 3 Survey, which returned some very important points, which actually allowed us to have a lower offer accepted on the house. The report was amazingly detailed and thorough inluding photos which we found so useful. We use it regularly now when completing our renovations. Ian has been incredibly helpful, when we have extra questions relating to the survey, his answers are so quick and invaluable. Would recommend Sladdon and Barton to anyone. Thank you!

Sladden & Barton Residential Surveyors visited my partner's property today. The gentleman who carried out the survey for the EPC was very professional, very thorough, friendly, and answered any questions I had relating to the survey. I would recommend them to anyone.

Sladden and Barton surveyors provided me with services recently. Mr Birdsey was a thorough and extremely professional surveyor who had an eye for detail which led me to withdraw from an earlier property. I would have purchased a nightmare. It was hard but when you realise that buying a home is probably the largest investment you will make, then you must have confidence in those who provide you with their expertise. Mr Ian Birdsey was extremely supportive, the company ethos was to provide quality with excellent communication. The final decision was mine, but I am hoping that this review will ensure Sladden and Barton get the recognition they deserve. A local old school company with values of transparency, friendliness and a very high level of quality in delivering their expert professional services. I highly recommend them.

Ian has been very helpful all the way through the process of getting my new home surveyed. From initial contact to delivery of his report he has responded promptly and clearly to my questions. His level 2 report was through and clear and he quickly responded to the follow up questions I had. I would happily recommend him to others and I feel I received good value for money.
